Payment link platform built in one week during COVID-19
A leading Ecuadorian payment processor needed a way to help thousands of small businesses collect payments digitally during the pandemic lockdown without requiring a website or complex setup. We designed and built a complete payment link platform on AS400 infrastructure in under one week. The solution allowed merchants to charge credit and debit cards via WhatsApp, email, or social media with a single link. The platform was officially endorsed by the Guayaquil Chamber of Commerce and became a key tool for keeping commerce alive during Ecuador's quarantine.
Complete back-office system built from scratch and modernized over 20 years
A major payment processor in Ecuador was managing their entire operation through spreadsheets and manual processes. We digitized and built their complete back-office on AS400 from the ground up, covering merchant onboarding, POS configuration and assignment, warehouse management, recurring billing, and financial reporting. Years later, we led the modernization of the entire system from an internal-network-only green screen interface to a full web platform, adding role-based access control, data encryption, user privilege management, and file protection. The system now processes over 3.5 million transactions per month.
Credit card transaction encryption and high availability setup for a major bank
A leading bank in Ecuador needed to encrypt all credit card transaction data flowing through their AS400 environment and ensure their critical servers had full redundancy.
